ABOUT US

The Oregon Workforce Partnership

Oregon’s seven Local Workforce Investment Boards (LWIBs) formed OWP as a way to create greater impact for Oregon’s citizens and businesses.  LWIBs are business-led private/public partnerships that invest into worker training based on community and industry needs.  Through OWP, these LWIBs work together to:

• Create alignment and increase worker skill development capacity across the state.

• Convene those with expertise and those who want to make a difference in order to learn from them and to work more effectively with them.

• Compile, analyze and convert data into intelligence so that all those involved in the creation of a more highly skilled workforce can make well informed choices.

Our Vision

Oregonians will have the skills necessary to achieve individual prosperity.

Oregon businesses will have the skilled workforce they need to compete and prosper in the global market.
