About our Executive Director

Agnes Balassa serves as the Executive Director for OWP.  She has more than 25 years experience developing and providing executive management for local and national education and worker training programs.  Most recently, Agnes worked on federal policy issues at the National Skills Coalition, where she managed a number of West Coast Skills2Compete Campaigns to increase awareness about the need for skilled workers.  Agnes serves on a variety of state and national organizations, including Oregon’s Green Jobs Council and the Oregon Economic Development Association Board.
